Sticks and Stones.

Porcupines and Elephants
All strike funny poses
But prickly hair
Is hard to bare
And so are really long noses.
Octopus nor spider legs
Would ever stand for long
In high heel shoes
Their footing they'd lose
Forever forgoing the prom.
A Baboon butt or a Pelican chin
Rarely is ever seen
They're just so strange
Plastic surgery won't change
Unphotogenic for a magazine.
So please remember friends and foes
Insults should be thought through
Not one of us
Has all good stuff
We're all just animals too.

  1. You and Dr. Seuss should be friends...except he's dead. But..I think the same rhyming sickness plagued
him as well. You've got the bug...don't fight it have a knack for it. NO really.

  2. That is very kind of you to say. But, I'm sure poetry writing is just a phase. Like chewing your fingernails or puberty or electricity. It will all be over soon.
